About Me

Who am I?  I am Mariah Bethany Long and I love to write.  In my first blog post, I have decided to detail who I am or at least who I think I am.  I live in a very small town that is practically unheard of.  There isn't much to do around this place except hang out in the Wal-Mart parking lot.  I am not one of those people that hang out in the Wal-Mart parking lot, though.  I keep to myself.  I am a senior in high school this year and I have big plans to obtain a pre-law degree with a journalism minor.  I have dreamed of being a successful writer since I was in the third grade.  I know that at first most writers aren't too successful and they don't make much of a living.  I have had an interest in law so I decided to write on the side.  I grew up watching shows such as Dragnet, Adam-12 and shows like 48 Hours and Dateline.  My interest in law spawned from the viewing of those shows.  My first post probably going to be a little dry to most folks because I haven't started stating opinions yet.  So, here's a little about me.  I am an independent Baptist and I attend church regularly.  I am a member of the choir and I enjoy being involved.  Some of my opinions may be religion based and I will feel free to state any religions references that I please.  I have many interests such as raising animals, vintage jewelry & antiques and of course, writing.  I will be writing about a little bit of everything on here.  My blog is honestly part of a therapeutic process that I am beginning for depression and anxiety.  I have battled with depression and anxiety for many years.  As a product of my depression and anxiety, I have been recently diagnosed with IBS and I am currently trying to cope with the illness.  I hope that my blog will be a help to others and I will love to communicate with others about my posts.  I hope that you all enjoy my writing.
